STRENGTH
This family of greenhouse film exhibits excellent tensile strength and tear
strength in excess of that of any other greenhouse poly film on the market by a
factor of at least 10 times! (See Picture)
LIGHT TRANSMISSION
Total light transmission in the range of 88% - 90% is comparable with
other commercial greenhouse cover poly films. This is despite the fact that the
material is made up of three woven layers.
These woven layers are what gives this greenhouse
film material
extraordinary strength and creates diffused light.
The complete blocking of UV light by this woven
greenhouse cover
helps prevent the spread of disease by lowering the incident of
insects. The insects are "Blind" when this light is blocked and
keeps them from entering the greenhouse.

DIFFUSED LIGHT
The diffused light characteristics of our greenhouse cover are
superior to other plastic greenhouse covers - around 45% as compared
to traditional poly films that have only 17%. This high amount
of diffused light gives this greenhouse cover material the following
advantages:

Diffused light prevents the
formation of strong shadows inside the greenhouse. This means
light is surrounding the plants and flowers instead of just hitting
them directly.

Diffused light helps prevent
the plants from getting overheated and burnt.

Diffused light provides a more
comfortable climate inside the greenhouse.

Diffused light reduces the amount
of water needed for irrigation.
I.R. TREATMENT-SAVES ENERGY & MONEY $$$$
The greenhouse cover material is treated with a special I.R. additive.
This additive helps keep the heat in at night and helps provide a more
comfortable temperature during the day.
LIFETIME
This greenhouse cover will last a long time. Solaroof 172
now has a 6 year warranty. It will last even longer than that. The
greenhouse cover retains it's strength and transparency in a way that
guarantees a long life. This will reduce the need for costly
frequent replacement and will save you time and money. Solarig 140
also carries a 6 year warranty when used as the bottom layer
in a double layer system with Solaroof 172 on the top. When used as
a single layer Solarig 140 has a four year warranty.
