Fertilizer Injectors

INJECTOR COMES WITH CHECK VALVE, GATE VALVE & FLOW METER

These venturi type injectors are very simple to operate. A pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the injector creates a vacuum inside the body which results in suction.  The suction can then be used to inject fertilizer into your drip irrigation system.  These injectors are a very inexpensive and reliable way to deliver fertilizer to your crops. Easy installation.

APPLICATION OF CHEMICALS BY MICRO-IRRIGATION

Benefits of this technology

  • Delivers plant nutrients directly into the wetted zone (where root development is intensive).
  • Uniform application of fertilizers.
  • Higher crop yields due to precise application of fertilizer
  • Reduce soil compaction because less equipment runs in the field
  • Reduced crop damage because less equipment runs in the field
  • Labor machinery and fuel savings.
  • Can be used with a large variety of chemicals.

METHODS OF CHEMICAL APPLICATION IN MICRO-IRRIGATION

  • Differential pressure tanks.
  • Injection pumps.
  • Venturi devices. Simple and low cost systems. They do not require an external power source; but they generate a  significant head loss which tend to limit their use to small to medium irrigation systems.

Some Definitions

A venturi is a device which creates vacuum when fluid flows through it. The fluid which creates the vacuum is known as the motive fluid. The motive fluid for irrigation injectors is the irrigation water itself. Vacuum created by the venturi sucks fertilizer or chemical into the motive water.

How a Venturi works

Our Venturi are water driven, ie they are driven by the pressure of the main irrigation pipeline. The energy to run these devices reduces the irrigation water pressure of the water line.

What to inject with a Venturi

  • liquid fertilizers (Nitrogen, Potassium, Phosphorus, etc...)
  • pesticide injection,
  • acid injection, for example to unblock dripper or distribution orifices.
