Embossed Plastic
Our Embossed plastic has superior elasticity with a built-in memory that hugs the bed tighter than smooth or cold post embossed films. This material will not flop in the wind. This hot cast film is extremely strong and elastic in all directions. In turn it sticks to the bed and will not allow heat to escape.

Thermic Green Embossed
This green plastic combines the advantages of clear and black plastic. Ideal for early season crops. It warms the soil and allows rapid vigorous root growth while suppressing weeds. Cantaloupes, watermelon, cucumbers and zucchini benefit from green. A herbicide is recommended but not necessary when using green plastic. This product is manufactured by Polyexpert

White on Black Embossed
Primarily used for a "cooling" effect. The white surface is laid up to reflect heat away while the black surface is laid down to prevent weed growth. Great for lettuce, cauliflower, and broccoli. Made by Berry Plastics

Red Embossed
Red is primarily used on tomatoes for an early harvest. Some tests show red plastic increases yield on tomatoes because the red light that is reflected forces more compact growth and early flowering. Some studies also suggest red plastic can reduce the occurrence of early blight. Eggplant have also shown increased yields when grown on red. A herbicide is recommended but not necessary when using red plastic. This product is manufactured by Filmtech, a member of the Sigma Plastic Group.

Metalized Reflective
This highly reflective fully metalized surface creates reduced insect populations which in turn can help limit disease. This metalized on black smooth film also creates cooler soil temperatures as well as maintaining a more even soil temperature. The increased lighting helps promote larger plant size and density which can lead to increased yields.

Photo-degradable Smooth
Degradable saves time and money. It lays down just as well as the regular plastic but at the end of the season you don’t break apart. Time length of degradation varies and depends on climate, cloud cover, intensity of the sun and chemical usage. Corn grown under clear plastic can be harvested as much as two to three weeks earlier, versus corn grown on bare ground. No guarantee on BREAKUP TIME.
